India’s premier international airline, together with JetLite, successfully retained its leadership position in the Indian Aviation sector with a dominant market share of 26.1 %. The airline also posted its sixteenth consecutive month of double digit growth with robust international and domestic passenger traffic in February 2011.
Jet Airways carried 3.81 lakh international revenue paying passengers in the month of February 2011 with an overall seat factor of 81.1%. The airline also carried 8.24 lakh domestic revenue paying passengers with a seat factor of 76.5%.
More importantly, Jet Airways has also registered the highest on time performance of 89.2% per cent by a scheduled airline, as per the statistics released by Director General of Civil Aviation.
JetLite, the wholly owned subsidiary of Jet Airways India Ltd, carried over 3.77 lakh revenue passengers in the month of February 2011 with a seat factor of 80.2%.
