Gitsfood Export

Since Gits Instant Mixes were much ahead of their time in India, the founders were compelled to seek foreign markets where convenience foods were much more common and widely used. Co-incidentally, encouragement came from a visiting businessman from Australia who happened to see Gits products in a shop in Mumbai and placed the first small order in 1968 to Menora Gourmet PTY Ltd, Melbourne.

The next opportunity came in England where the late TR Suterwala, the founder of TRS Ltd, placed a small order. After that there was no looking back. Gits products spread rapidly throughout the western world. They were much appreciated by the immigrant Indian population.

Over the years, the range of products increased to include Instant Mixes, Papads, Dairy Products, Namkeens and Ready-to-Eat meals. Currently, Gits exports 45% of its production.
